The Bocconi entrance test is open to students entering their final year of secondary school, including Terminale in France, Year 13 (A-Levels) in the United Kingdom, Sixth Year in Ireland, the fourth year of Gymnasium in Switzerland, or the sixth year of secondary school in Belgium.
The online Bocconi Test is available from 14 July 2025 to 6 April 2026. During their final year, candidates may take the test up to four times, with a minimum interval of two days between attempts.

For the 2025 intake, Bocconi will admit approximately 2,800 first-year students across 25 classes, with 50–55% of places reserved for international applicants enrolled in English-taught programmes.
Our Bocconi preparation programme is built on a dynamic and personalised approach. 1st Session : Early Session
The Early Session is typically the most significant admission round in terms of the number of applicants and offers made. Historically, around half of the available places are filled during this first session, making it a particularly important opportunity for candidates aiming to secure admission early.
For this reason, achieving a strong Bocconi Test score (generally above 30) during this stage is highly recommended. As the admission cycle progresses, the required score thresholds tend to rise, meaning competition becomes increasingly intense in later sessions.
Being admitted in the Early Session also provides an important advantage: students can approach their final year of secondary school with greater peace of mind, focusing on key national examinations such as the Baccalauréat, Maturità, or other final qualifications while strengthening their academic profile.
At Brightworth Exam Prep, we guide students throughout the entire preparation and application process, helping them target this early admission window with a strategic and well-structured approach so they can begin their final school year with confidence and clarity.

The Mid Session represents the second most important admission round in terms of the number of applicants and available places. It is generally estimated that up to 40% of the total intake is admitted during this stage.
Although admission during this session can be more competitive, it remains very achievable with strong preparation. Many candidates applying at this stage are students who were not admitted in the Early Session, often due to a Bocconi Test score below approximately 34 points. As a result, the admission threshold is usually slightly higher than in the first session.
Because the selection process becomes progressively more competitive as the admissions cycle advances, candidates aiming for the Mid Session should approach the test with thorough preparation and a clear strategy to maximise their chances of success.
The Final Session is the last admission round and is generally considered the most competitive. By this stage, only about 10% of the total places remain available, which significantly increases the level of competition among applicants.
Because many candidates apply during this final opportunity, the admission threshold is typically much higher than in previous sessions. As a result, gaining admission at this stage requires exceptional preparation and a very strong Bocconi Test score, along with an outstanding academic profile.
Students applying in this session are expected to demonstrate consistent academic excellence throughout their secondary school years, particularly during the two years preceding their final year. Strong results, additional academic achievements, or advanced programmes such as dual diplomas or rigorous secondary curricula can help strengthen a candidate’s application.
For this reason, applicants targeting the Final Session should approach the process with careful preparation, strategic planning, and a strong academic record to maximise their chances of success.
